While many of these platforms look shiny and easy to use. I strongly believe that WordPress is the best platform for your site to be on. Reason #1 of why wordpress is the best: You own it! This is your business, your investment. Having someone else own a huge part of your marketing is a big mistake. If for some reason one of those businesses shut down or god-forbid ban you, you would lose everything. That is freaking scary!

One of the biggest reasons why wordpress is the best: the SEO cannot be beat. Sure, other platforms are trying to fix this issue, but there is a reason why WordPress makes up over 40% of all websites in the world. One of the reasons WordPress has a better chance of ranking on Google is the backend coding is clean and this makes it easy for google to crawl your site and rank it!

WordPress will grow with you and trust me, if you have a successful business you will need the ability to add more features and functions to your site. Most of the other platforms have limits to what you can do, but WordPress is limitless. If you can think it, it can be done.

1. Divi Theme– this is the easiest theme+builder in the world. Its why I include it in all my design packages for free.
1½. Elementor– not my favorite but it has a good free option. If you use this plugin, you will want to use OceanWP theme (also free).
2. Rank Math Plugin– Best SEO tool ever. Plus its free. This tool tells you exactly what you need to do to optimize your site for Google.
3. iThemes Security– Best free security plugin. Super easy to use and keeps your site secure.
4. LiteSpeed Cache- Comes free with Evans Hosting. Helps optimize your site speed and in turn helps SEO.
